Clamping, welding & assembly fixtures
Fixtures for machining, assembly and inspection, precisely matched to your part geometry and production process. CAD-IS builds clamping fixtures, straightening fixtures, welding fixtures and custom fixtures as one-offs to your drawing or in technical coordination with you.
Matched to the process
Every fixture is designed around the part geometry and the manufacturing process. Design and manufacturing from one source, direct contact with the engineer.
5-axis machining
Complex geometries and tight positional tolerances are machined on the DMG Mori CMX 70 U in a single setup – no re-clamping errors.
Design included
3D model and manufacturing drawings are created in-house. Modifications for changed parts are possible at any time later on.
What kinds of fixtures does CAD-IS build?
Fixtures are precision tooling that hold parts in a defined position – for bending, welding, assembly or inspection. CAD-IS builds all common fixture types to drawing or CAD data.
Straightening fixtures
Hold parts in shape during straightening. Used for tubes, profiles and sheet metal parts that are brought to size after forming.
Clamping frames & clamping fixtures
Clamp parts repeatably for assembly, inspection or further processing. Also as production tooling for end-of-line stations.
Welding fixtures
Position the components precisely and hold them positively during welding, securing angles, distances and part position.
Assembly and hose clamp fixtures
Assembly and clamping aids for manual or semi-automatic part insertion, matched to tool geometry and installation situation.
